  1. Boil chicken broth in a large pan.
  2. Add chicken and boil until cooked through – about 10 minutes.
  3. Add remaining ingredients: excluding lime juice, cilantro and avocado.
  4. Continue cooking about 20 minutes.
  5. Add lime juice and cook one more minute.
  6. Garnish individual servings with cilantro, avocado, and tortilla strips. (Do not garnish any soup you are freezing – just adjust the ingredients accordingly)
  7. Optional: Cook in a crock-pot for about 4 -5 hours on medium.
